Jim Weickgenant, EA, ATA

Jim Weickgenant, EA (Enrolled Agent), ATA (Accredited Tax Advisor) is the owner of Weickgenant Accounting Inc.  He purchased the business from his father, Peter in 1983 and the business has been serving Baraboo and area clients since 1958.  Jim served in the United States Air Force for 5 years in the Management & Budget office at McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas. Upon his discharge he attended Kansas Newman College and graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1980.  Jim has served on the Wisconsin Association of Accountants (WAA) Board of Directors and also served as the WAA President in 2006-07.  Jim is also active with the National Society of Accountants (NSA) serving on such committees as Regulation and Oversight, Political Action Committee, the Leadership Development Program and a past NSA State Director for Wisconsin.  Jim is the now serving as the NSA Governor for District V which includes the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.  Jim is a Charter Member of the Baraboo Rotary Club and is a member of Emanuel United Methodist church.  Jim and his wife Myrna enjoy many different outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, biking, kayaking and traveling.
